Below are the CDC recommended protocols we have put in place:
Notices Posted - Precautionary Daily Health Routine: To be utilized throughout the day: • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer where soap and water are not available.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay home when you are sick.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
• Avoid all large gatherings where possible
Daily Sanitizing Routine: Wiping down all offices, doors, electronic equipment, including all LMS Vehicles daily.
Travel Restrictions/Travel Bans: Since early March LMS has been following travel restriction guidelines in accordance with the CDC and who has asked all crew members to share travel plans to CDC defined high risk areas.
Work Restrictions: We’ve instructed our crew members that experience symptoms or traveled to high risk areas as defined by the CDC or who been in direct contact with those who have traveled to high risk areas, to not report to work and contact their doctor.
Social Distancing Measures: We are limiting office operations and asking sales to follow CDC guidance and allow work from home procedures to achieve this where required. We’ve asked where reasonable, all crews and trucks remain the same daily.
General Health Inquires Daily: Though we are not medical providers, all crew members have been asked to inform LMS daily (Pre/post work) if they are experiencing any of the CDC COVID-19 Symptoms. Any confirmations noted, the crew member is sent home and LMS follows CDC recommended return to work guidelines before crew member can return. This applies to all LMS crew member and staff including management.
LMS Coronavirus Sick Return Policy: If any LMS crew member is exhibiting symptoms, or has a family member that is exhibiting symptoms, they are to be sent home immediately and will return with the guidance of CDC guidelines.
Gloves/Masks: We asked each employee to wear a pair of rubberized gloves and masks on each job. If these products are in short supply and or not available (market specific) we are continuing to follow all other recommended procedures defined above.
Higher Risk for Sever Illness Environments: At this time in efforts to protect the public, temporarily we will not be servicing moves that service the following areas:
• Nursing Homes
• Retirement center
• Long term care facilities
• Hospital/Medical Facilities
Important "Open Communication”: We are asking all customers if they feel uncomfortable to move for any reason or if any of their family members have experienced COVID-19 symptoms, or if you or others we are moving are at higher risk for serious illness from COVID-19 (because of your age, serious long-term health problems or CDC defined risk); please let us know immediately so we can continue to protect each other and reschedule as necessary. Our company culture commits each of us at Legacy Moving Services to do good for our customers, our families, and neighbors in the communities we serve. Faith brings us hope that this will pass quickly, yet our focus is on what we can do today.
